21 PEOPLE HAVE TO USE INFORMATION TO MAKE IT STICK
There are two ways to move things from working memory into long-term memory:
repeat it a lot
connect it to something they already know
Slide 2
Repetition physically changes the brain
The brain has 10 billion neutrons that store information.
Neutrons fire every time we repeat the information. When 2 neutrons are activated, the connection between them are strengthened.
So, if we want to remember something, we need to repeat that so the neutrons of the brain can activate to make it stick.

The power of a schema
Schema is a combination of other parts into one big part from one thing. Schema help to organize informations for the memory.
Example: A head is a schema because it include brain, eyes, nose, ears, etc.
