IMPORTANCE OF WATER

Our country is a privileged place because it has many sources of fresh water  which are used in the people`s varied activities.   However, the distribution of water is not equitable and there are many places that do not have enough liquid. One the region in our country which suffers from water scarcity is the province of Manabí   In order to solve this problem, the Poza Honda dam was constructed, holds a reservoir of more than 100 millions m3 of warter which is used to irrigate an area of 10.000 hectares.
