    ...The more They Defend Their Ideas. Sometimes, users do not want any new information that would conflict with their personal opinions. Even if the new information may be beneficial or helpful.  This is called cognitive dissonance denial.

    Cognitive Dissonance is the uncomfortable feeling you get when two ideas conflict with each other. You don't like the feeling so there are 2 ways to get rid of it: Change your belief Deny one of the ideas   When forced, people will change their beliefs. People can be forced to defend an opinion they do not believe in by changing their narrative.
