Our first attempt didn't go to plan as we didn't acquire enough footage to make the 2 minutes, it also wasn't completed with a HD camera as we didn't have access to one at the time, therefore the quality of the film wasn't good and the visual of it was crackling meaning it wasn't clear. Also the title sequence doesn't match our genre, as it makes it seem as if it will be a sci-fi but it is in actual fact a murder mystery. There is also no build up to character one finding the body of his roommate so no suspense has been created which is the main idea that is needed for a mystery film, especially a murder mystery. The black and white filter that was used throughout doesn't compliment the film, therefore making the actual image of the film seem unfocused.

Change in actors
Whilst completing our first attempt, we came across faults in the actors as they weren't committed to the role and they were not overly interested in taking part, therefore this lead to the downfall of the content of the film as it meant not enough got produced. However, this meant that we could see how we wanted the film to turn out as we could see what went wrong and how we want the film to be presented. Furthermore, the actors didn't want to take the film seriously, therefore the footage of the film was small and we had scenes that didn't follow on from each other which meant that for it to be improved the actors needed to be changed.
