Endurence-Ability of
the muscular
system to work
efficeiently for long
periods of time
- It is needed for your muscles to keep
repeating movements over and over again
without getting fatigued
- For example a Tennis player has to
keep playing the same shots over and
over again throughout the match.
- Body Composition- Relative ratio
of mass to fat-free mass in the
body
- Mesomorph= Muscular
Endomorph= Large
Ectomorph= Tall/thin
- Flexibility-The range of movement at a joint.
- It is needed to prevent injury and to allow
performers to reach/stretch further
- For example when a
badminton player reaches
down to hit the shuttlecock
- Muscular Strength- The maximum
amount of force that a muscle can
exert against a resistance.
- Measured in: Kilograms or Newtons
- It is important for a weightlifter to
be able to lift heavy weights
- Speed- How fast
somebody moves
from point to ponit
- Speed= Distance/Time
- Three types of speed=
Accelerative Speed,
Pure Speed and Speed
Endurance
- For example to out pace a
defender in football
- Aerobic Endurance- The ability to
excersice for long periods without
being tired
- Crdiorespiratory System: Breath in Oxygen,
Nutrients are transported around the bod,
removes waste CO2
- You need it to keep going
throught your excerise session.
