Rainforest Geography
- A rainforest is a dense forest with biodiversity, found normally in tropical areas with heavy rainfall.
- Canopy
- The canopy is the aboveground
portion of a plant or crop. For
forests, canopy also refers to the
upper layer or habitat zones.
- Here are the layers:
- Emergent Layer: 200ft.
The tallest trees are the
emergents, towering
above the forest floor with
trunks that measure up to
16 feet around. Sunlight is
plentiful up here.
- Canopy Layer: 200ft.
This is the primary layer
of the forest and forms a
roof over the two
remaining layers. Most
canopy trees have
smooth, oval leaves that
come to a point.
- Understory Layer: 12ft.
Little sunshine reaches
this area so the plants
have to grow larger
leaves to reach the
sunlight.
- Forest floor: (ground+).
It's very dark down here.
Almost no plants grow in
this area, Very hardly any
sunlight.
- Animal Adaptation
- Animals have to adapt to their surroundings and blend in to their enviorment.
- Predators
- Prey
- Animals has their own habitats; natural home of an animal, plant, or other organisms.
- Climates
- Climates is the weather conditions prevailing in an area in general or over a long period
- Blue bars shows rainfall level and red shows temperature levels
- Units are: Celcius and Farenheight, CM and MM
- Tribal Life
- There are many tribes in the rainforests and they all have their different ways of living

- Global warming
- Global Warming Caused
- When cutting trees the gas flows out, and this gas is
Carbohydrates and this isnt any good.
- This leads to global warming there fore
the atmosphere gets unwanted air/gas
