    1. 1) write % mass next to each element in compound
      1. 2) Divide each mass % by the atomic mass for element
        1. 3) Divide both numbers by smallest number
    2. Percentage Mass
      1. 1) calculate formula mass of compound
        1. 2) Divide atomic mass of element wanted by overall formula mass
          1. 3) Multiply by 100

        1. the amount of all elements in the compound
