It's A Good Thing That People Forget
It's important to understand that our memories will sometimes fail us. But why is it that we can remember some things and not others?

Slide 2

People Are Always Going To Forget
Think about the sensory inputs we encounter on a daily basis Food you ate, smells in your home, colors in the sky, the feel of a blanket, etc. What people forget is not a conscious decision The brain decides what to remember and what to forget Makes the decisions necessary to keep you functioning There is  science behind how much you will forget R=e(-t/s) Where R is your memory retention, S is the strength of memory, and t is time.

Slide 3
