What is a communicable disease? Communicable diseases are described as infectious diseases. This means that they are easily spread from one organism to another.
What is a pathogen? Pathogens are microorganisms that cause disease in both plants and animals.
What are the 4 main groups of pathogens? 1. Bacteria 2. Viruses 3. Protists 4. Fungi
What are bacteria? Bacteria are single-celled organisms that are much smaller than animal and plant cells. Once inside your body, bacteria reproduces rapidly by splitting in two (binary fission). Bacteria produces toxins which affect your body.
What are viruses?
