TECHNIQUES TO OVERCOME POLYMERISATION
1. keep field as dry as poss - will shrink away from water
2. ramped output from light source
3. place in oblique increments
4. direct light to gingival floor
CLINICAL INDICATIONS
1. Anterior - classIII, IV, V
2. Posterior - Class I, II, V
3. Deciduous restorations
ANTERIOR - outline form, access from palatal/lingual aspect
1. keep prep as min as possible - use small round bur
2. Remove caries from ADJ and as much stained dentine - better aesthetics
3. Bevel enamel edges for larger surface area of bonding
4. Apply comp in increments using clear matrix and cure for 30secs
CLINICAL HANDLING OF COMP IN ANT TEETH
1. Best aesthetic result when final increment is placed
2. placed under clear matrix removes oxygen layer
