• Tell me about yourself I'm Rafael, I'm 24 years old. I was born in Porto Alegre, RS. I live with my Mother and youngest sister. I've been studying engineering, but actually my main goal is becoming a flight attendant.
• What's so exciting about being a flight attendant? I like the idea of supporting people and being in touch with different people from all over the world and deal with the unexpected. It’s so exciting for me.
• What job experience do you have? I have worked with my father as a sales assistant.
• What activities were included in this job? I was supposed to call companies to try to enroll new clients... and I managed our clients roll to offer new products and check their needs. This was basicaly office job.
• What did you do in your last weekend? I studied English and sign language for my test this week.
• What's your favorite hobby? I love meditating, I started three months ago and it's beginning to do me well. (So, how well do you feel? I feel more confident and I starting learning about me)
• Do you practice any physical exercise? I go for walks sometimes, I love to take some sun. (I CAN SAY BEFORE IT: Usually I don’t have so much time to go to the gym, but...)
• Do you like to read? What kind of book do you like? Yes, I do. I love to read philosophy books. There's this one entitled " Luck follows Courage"
• Where did you go in your last vacation? I went to Rio de Janeiro with my father we visited some landmarks like Pão de Açucar and Cristo Redentor.
• Have you ever traveled by plane? How was this experience in your first time? Yes, I have. This was very pleasant to me, especially when I saw the skyline for the first time. I really enjoy it.
• How do you get along with your parents? I get along really well with my parents. They always support me in my decisions about the future. Like becoming a flight attendant
• Where do you see yourself in 5 years? In 5 years, I want to learn as much I can to improve my skills in this position. Also, I will improve my English and start to learn another language.
• How did you learn your English? I started learning by myself because most things that I liked were in English. Music, books, movies, series I had to translate it. I’ve been in touch with English for a couple of years.
• Why Gol? Because Gol is a strong company and its growing stronger every year. Gol is a company committed to its customers and professionals, so I really want to be part of it and cooperate with my determination and help Gol improve even more.
• How was your last Christmas? It was great! It was in my grandma’s house. There was a lot of delicious foods!
• How is your daily routine? I usually study English in the afternoon and go to college at night. In my spare time I play my guitar and meditate.
• Where do you will go in your next vacation? • Where do you will go in your next vacation?
• How do you deal with criticism? I understand that criticism is important for us to grow. Even if we don’t agree. But it’s also important to reconsider and give it some attention and reassess our position.
• How do you cope with important decisions? I understand that important decisions are related to personal growth. Like me becoming a flight attendant. I’ll will change my life, my routine and that’s is an important decision for me. There are important decisions every step of the way.
• How would you describe the flight attendant job? I would say that a flight attendant sometimes is like a doctor or a firefighter, sometimes he’s physiologist. It’s all about safety and being aware about everything is happening in the airplane.
• What do you think is essential for a flight attendant? The flight attendant must be aware of everything in the airplane. He has to be attentive, polite and secure.
• How would be living in another place for you? For me it would be a pleasure living in another place. I’m single and free and I intend to explore it. I’m somehow setting my mind to do it.
