Discuss and explain what is effective communication. Effective communication is a two-way interactive process. It serves a common purpose, develops mutual trust and understanding, and last but not least, builds enduring relationships with love.
All effective communication serves a purpose. What are the different purposes of communication? Depending on the purpose, the subject could be factual, informative, entertaining, attractive, interesting, relevant and / or useful to an audience.
What are the factors which may cause ineffective communication? The factors which may cause ineffective communication include lack of mutual trust, respect, or there is no common purpose or interests in the subject of communication.
Do you remember an incidence of effective or ineffective communication which you were involved during a group meeting or discussion? I could remember an incidence when I saw some serious mistakes which my boss had made, and tried to convince him to take corrective actions, but I was not successful in convincing him. The result was he lost his company and I changed my job.
Can you think of some ways to improve your communication with your family members, colleagues, and partners in business? I think I can improve my communication with friends and relative by being a good listener to understand what other people really needs and care about, and see if I could help and support them.
Do you think choosing the words to use make a difference in communication? I think choosing the right words to use in communication make a big difference between making or breaking a deal or a relationship. We should choose positive and kind words to use, and avoid using negative and unkind words at all times.
