What is the purkinje shift? | The tendency our eyes have when we become light adapted to move towards the blue end of the spectrum meaning things look darker. |
What are the four types of receptor? | Red, blue and green cone cells and rods cells |
What is trichromacy theory? | The way we combine 3 colours in different proportions to make all colours. |
What is the difference between subtractive and addictive mixing? | Subtractive is where we have different colored light courses which when we combine they create white, while addictive mixing is where we have different colours which absorb light at different frequencies and when added together make black. |
What is opponency theory? | An advancement on the trichromacy theory where it is suggested we compare colours, so light and dark, red and green, blue and yellow and this is how we see the colours we do. |
