Soak beans in unflavored vodka for 30 minutes to sanitize
Use whole beans
Split beans in half lengthwise
Monitor flavor development of your beer by tasting it every other day.
Add to fermenter for about
1 week for a darker or stronger beer
< 1 week for a lighter beer
Grind beans and place in a container
Cover ground beans with unflavored vodka or rum
Strain the mixture through cheesecloth to separate ground material from the liquid extract
Seal the container & let it sit for a week.
Carefully add the extract to your brew in the fermenter or at bottling. You may need to experiment with the amount you use to achieve the best results in your final beer.
