What is it?
Uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells that start off in one or both lungs. Usually in the cell that lines the air passages
Abnormal cells do not develop into healthy lung tissues, they divide rapidly and form tumors.

2. The cancer spreads to nearby lymph nodes
3. Cancer is fund in the lungs & in lymph nodes in the middle of the chest
Locally advanced disease. Stage 3is classified with 2 subtypes
IIIA: Cancer has spread only to lymph nodes on the same side
IIIB: Cancer has spread to the lymph nodes on the opposite side of the chest or above collar bone
4. Most advanced stage, the cancer has spread to both lungs, and other parts of body also other organs
