- 2. Produce hyphae which develop into mycelium on soil
- 3. Hyphae grow upwards
- 4. A tightly closed cap forms at the top of the hyphae
- 5. This increases in size & opens as the mushroom grows
- 6. Pink gills form underneath cap & spores are produced here
- 7. When the mushroom are ripe spores are released
