- Titrating EDTA with
magnesium and calcium ion
using eriochrome black T.
- End point :
- Red
- to blue
- EDTA in the burette
- Pipette 25ml portions of the
magnesium solution under
test into a conical flask.
- Add 10ml of pH10 buffer
- Add 4/5 drops of the indicator,
eriochrome black T. Titrate the
ion solution with edta
- Titrating acidified
potassium manganate(VII)
with Iron (II)
- Potassium Manganate (VII) in the burette
- Pipette 25ml portions of ammonium
iron (II) sulfate into a conical flask
- Add 10ml of dilute sulfuric acid.
- End point :
- Colourless
- to pink
- Titrating Iodine with sodium thiosulfate
ions using starch as an indicator
- Estimate oxidising agents such as hydrogen
peroxide and iodate ions by their reactions with
potassium iodide
- Add the thiosulfate until the solution is straw coloured.
- Add starch at this point and the solution will change from
- BLUE-BLACK
- to colourless
