Large fungi
1. Generally edible
2. Field mushrooms - button
3. Truffles - a delicacy found underground
4. Visible to the naked eye
Reproduction of large fungi
1. 1. Mushrooms start as spore
2. 2. Produce hyphae which develop into mycelium on soil
3. 3. Hyphae grow upwards
4. 4. A tightly closed cap forms at the top of the hyphae
5. 5. This increases in size & opens as the mushroom grows
6. 6. Pink gills form underneath cap & spores are produced here
7. 7. When the mushroom are ripe spores are released
