        1. Prevalence: 55.6% in 2 ICU's, 69.7% in most highly exposed workers
        2. Pathophysiology
          1. Skin Barrier disruption
            1. Release of cytokin
              1. Epidural cellular changes
              2. Risk factors: Workers who handle irritants are at high risk. They include Nurses, artists, cleaners, coal miners etc.
                1. Diagnosis: Contact dematitis can be determined by clinical examination so no specific tests are necessary

                    1. Dryness
                      1. Redness
                        1. Cracking of the skin
                          1. Skin inflammation
                          2. Adapting responses to Alterations
                            1. Repeated irritation causes hardening or accommodated skin
