What is a firm stretch end-feel? | Tension from ligaments, capsule, or muscle at the end of a ROM. Normal end-feel. EX:) Hip medial rotation |
What is a hard bone to bone end-feel? | Contact with bone at the end of a ROM. Normal end-feel EX:) elbow extension |
What is soft tissue approximation end-feel? | Springy due to muscles at the end of a ROM. Normal end-feel EX: elbow flexion |
What is an empty end-feel? | Pain limiting full ROM. abnormal end-feel EX:) fracture |
What is a firm end-feel? | Similar to firm stretch but it prevents full ROM. abnormal end-feel EX:) increased tone |

What is a soft end-feel? | Boggy feel usually with acute conditions. abnormal end-feel EX:) edema or infection |
