Measuring and Reading Recipes
Measuring spoons come in 4 different sizes: tablespoon, teaspoon, 1/2 teaspoon, and 1/4 teaspoon.
Measuring cups are used to measure dry or solid ingredients
Come in sets of 4, 5 or 6 and they all include 1 cup, 1/2 cup, 1/3 cup, and 1/4 cup but, sometimes you'll see 3/4 cup and 2/3 cup
Liquid should be measured in measuring pitchers.
One side has ounce and cup measurements and the other side has liters and milliLiters
There are three teaspoons in one tablespoon and four tablespoons in 1/4 cup
Zero out bowl measurements when using a scale so you don't get the wrong measurements
Recipe is divided into three sections
Top has the name of the recipe, maybe the oven temperature if it needs it, and the quantity (sometimes called the yield)
The middle has the ingredients you will need
The bottom has the directions to make the recipe successful
