Stalin was worried about Germanys recovery,
potentially threatening the USSR in the future. He
took resources from his own zone and didn't want to
see their industry result but he grew more worried
about his former West allies
The western allies had
growing co-operation and
desires to see Germany
recover. The allies were
starting o run their zones
together, in 1948 they started
a new currency called the
Deutschmark for the three
zones to share
Stalin was angered about the allies actions
we worried that the allies
building up Germany to act as
a check on Soviet power so he
acted out against the west of
Germany
west Germany was effectively becoming a
separate county against the east side, it was
ran very differently and was capitalist and
democratic
